Ok so here's the deal guys....I changed my oil yesterday on my 02 and I this time I used Mobil 1 15W50 instead of the Spectra motorcycle oil I used last time. Went I took it out last night, my clutch was slipping very badly, to the point where I'm just accelerating and its slipping about 7-8000rpm. If I take that oil out and replace it, should it stop slipping or am I just screwed....your help is appreciated

From what everyone says...yamaha's don't like certain oils. Change and find out. You can't go wrong with MOTUL or Yamalube.

Well I drained out the Mobil 1 earlier and replaced it with Castrol GTX.....wasnt lookin very good for a little while, but after about 20-30 minutes the slipping pretty much stopped....I'm gonna test it out a little more tommorrow, but its definately better.
Use oils that specifically state: "contains no friction modifiers", to avoid this problem in the future.

This is perhaps a dumb question, but it's my first R1 so please bare with me on this one :)
I've also noted that my bike has a tendency to slip a bit at full throttle between 7k-8k rpm... is this always an oil issue or is my clutch going bye bye?
