We are going to have a custom bike show with prize giveaways this year at the Convention. It will be on the Friday night. Everyone that wants to enter will bring their bike up at Dinner time and line up all the show bikes. We will then eat dinner on Shuckstack Road like always and then have the judging after dinner and give away the prizes.

Prizes will be 1st, 2nd, and 3rd trophies and McCoy's www.tobefast.com gift certificates.

There are a few rules, you bike does have to be a Yamaha and you have to be a member of the R1 Forum or the R6 Forum to enter.

Also, this is an amatuer bike show/contest so no professional custom bikes will be allowed. (this means no bikes that have been in Magazines or built in a custom bike shop)

So, let the modding begin :rock :rock

lol, as long as you are not a professional:lol

Yeah I figured it would be something a little different for everyone and allow everyone to show off their bikes. Pretty much everyone does some mods to their bike so this is a chance to show it off. And the trickest 3 will win a prize:rock

Thats a great idea--I cant wait for this years convention! Is it june yet?
YOu will have to line up both your bikes, it will be cool to see the two anniversary bikes side by side:rock

Can i get in for most stock R1 that is beat to death? Of course Ill be in the 03 Blue class
yeah, most definately! lol.

Who's judging this event??
I haven't decided yet. It may be me and Shane and maybe one of the guys from Yamaha, or we may have an open judging for all the forum members to jugde. I will let ya'll know though.

You would probably win with the most miles on a stock bike.

#23 ·
btw, I wasn't thinking about having classes...just one whole bike show. But maybe we can break it up... just have to see how things go.

Can you give further clarification on this please? Because I know this will become an issue. Everyone knows the McCoy's bikes, but there's a few members on here who have highly customized bikes but it's not known whether they would be considered professional or not. I could see this becoming a potential issue if they were to enter.

As to voting, I would say let's open it up to silent voting from all there. Everyone writes down their top three bikes, and the winners are chosen from that.

As to bikes, I'd have to say that I'd be with Aron in having as near of a stock a bike as possible. :lol :lol

Ok, Bikes that have been in Magazines or built in a custom bike shop are not allowed. Everythign else is. BTW, Larry isn't bringing his showbikes, LOL.

I don't see any reason to break it in to yearly classes, a custom bike is a custom bike in my opinion. And it can or not be close to stock. We don't need to have a rule that says anything about stock, that is why it is a custom bike contest, lol.

I am open for suggestions though, so fellas keep them coming. I will post details as we decide on them. :thumbup

Kind of difficult to get a lot of business when most of your clients only have one or two teeth. :crash

By "built in a custom bike shop" do you mean that the bike was already built by the custom shop and purchased in one piece by the owner? Just checking .... for example, if you bought the Jesse James R1 or something like that?
