Engine removal

Basically got top end of motor stripped down, heads off, exhaust etc etc.

Just want to tilt the engine forward enough to remove the barrel.

Got all the engine mount bolts undone and removed except for the bottom back one so the engine will tilt forward and not just fall out.

I can not get the engine to budge, even had a scissor jack in between the engine and frame (carefully placed cause I don't want to damage anything) and it just will not budge.

I've had levers, screw drivers, in every possible position and it simply just will not budge. It's frustrating the F$#@ out of me lol!!

Searched the net and this forum and couldn't really find anything that I hadn't already tried.

Anyone with any ideas?

Do have the manual and followed the simple instructions of removing all bolts etc but thats where it's got me stuffed.

Haven't had a chance to look at it for a while but I think it may be the engine position adjuster where the top back bolt goes.

I have the bolt removed but the adjuster is still there and the thread that the adjuster moves in and out with is stuffed and the adjuster will not move in or out.

I think it is adjusted tight against the engine and has it wedged.

4 bolts. Two on each side. The two lower ones either require the specialized tool or just get a straight edge screwdriver which you don't care too much about and position the tip on the adjusters. Then you have to loosen them.

If you need more info, I can get you a picture of the tool or the locations.

The adjusters are the problem. I have tried with a large screw driver and they will not budge.

I sprayed heaps of WD40 on them last time I tried so hoping it has soaked in and helps although the top thread for the adjuster is damaged which I think is why it will not move.

Been fairly busy (maybe a little lazy to) but finally got back to getting the engine out.

Top engine adjuster was main problem. Thread was damaged making it very hard to turn so ended up getting a large easy out and a couple of adapters (random tools that fitted to turn it) and with a fair amount of leverage it came undone reasonably easy and the engine now moves in the frame how I wanted. :)

Thanks for the help everyone.
