Feeler: How Much Is My Laguna Seca Package Worth?

LAGUNA SECA PACKAGE

4 nights hotel - Thursday, Friday, Saturday, & Sunday nights
- 1 room w/ 2 queen-sized beds in Carmel/Monterey

2 - 3-day General Admission (Fri/Sat/Sun)
2 - Paddock Passes
2 - Saturday Reserved Turn 11 Grandstand Seats
2 - Sunday Reserved Turn 4 Grandstand Seats

I saw Paddock Passes (not including ticket) going for $300-400 a piece on ebay.
Just out of curiosity...how much do you think this is worth?

BTW, I am NOT interested in selling as I am able to go. I am just wondering if someone can pur$uade me to change my mind.

I sold my package, that I won from Yamaha last year, for $300 to another forum member. :fact
Package included...

2 general admission tickets for all three days
2 paddock passes for all three days
special yamaha parking pass for all three days

Could I of got more out of this package... sure, could of put them on ebay and made $1000 easy... but really that's not my thing. I'd rather have someone else, especially another forum member, go and enjoy the experience that I could not. :rock

SO... for you to come on here and ask that bullshit question... makes me lose respect for you and I'll make sure to watch you if you ever try and sell anything on these forums.

This is worth one thing = the experience of going.

Besides that, I'd think the value of what you have is:
Hotel- probably the most here depending on where you're located, my friends are paying $350 a night. I'm camping.

3 day general admission isn't worth more than $90 because they're still available for sale.

Paddock passes are good all three days, and sold out quick. They might be a hot ticket for someone who missed out. They were only $25 but people might pay a couple hundred to get close.

Grandstand seats for Sunday maybe $50-100, Saturday I'd think $25-50.

Remember seller's markets and buyer's markets sometimes don't always meet up.

I've got hotel reservations at the Marriott in Monterey for Friday and Saturday night. I also have tickets for Sat/Sun+padock passes and I don't know if I'll be able to go due to starting a new job on Monday.

LOL... I think the only question that has been answered is why you started this thread. It seems obvious to me that you thought you could start a bidding war for your tickets and accomodations. If you think that someone posting a package on ebay a week ago tells you how much they are worth, I think you should check to see how many bids there are (that would be zero). It's probably your ebay entry anyway, but whatever.

It's NOT my entry on ebay, but if you want to assume things about someone you don't know, then "whatever" (to quote your articulate and intelligent phrase).

Obviously, IF I was serious about getting bidders, etc., I would've just listed it on ebay, craigslist, or the "For Sale" section (instead of the "General Discussion" section) of this board.

I don't know why so many of you are so upset and feel the need to flame me about this thread. I was curious about something so I asked. If you think it's lame, just skip over it and read another post. No big deal.

If flamed someone every time I saw a lame post, I'd be #1 :moto: already. :crash

I never claimed to be mature. But at least I know I'm not a piece of shit. :hellobye :thumbup
What exactly are you trying to achieve with the personal insults?

I have my opinion on tickets, etc. and you have yours. I can respect the fact that your opinion is different than mine. AND THAT'S OKAY.

Personal insults make me feel better about myself.

Because I know.......... deep in my heart........

..........that............

...........every time I insult a scalper......

...... A puppy is born.

Oh. And I don't like seeing people cheated out of money.

Who did you see cheated out of their money? How did I cheat someone out of money if I haven't even received any money? Please define cheating.

Read my posts. I listed some truthful information on some tickets and wondered about their worth on the market. I even clearly stated that I'm NOT interested in selling.

P.S. If personal insults make you feel better about yourself, please, type as many insults as you like. I wouldn't want you feel cheated out of feeling better about yourself.

If it were me living there i would buy a bunch of tickets for next season and sell them a few weeks before with loads of profit.

If you as an outsider want to go you should have thought about it earlier and buy the tickets in time. If you still want to go and have to buy them at higher cost, you'll have to pay up, simple as that.

demand > offer = profits :jump

I guess you're anti-real estate and any kind of business too? It's all about the same, buy and resell. Every single factory or business buys stuff cheap and sells it a lot higher to make profit.

Welcome to the grown up world, i doubt you'll ever get anywhere unless you live out of your parents pocket with that mentality.

Can we assume that IF the price was right you would entertain offers. Straight-Up........everything and/or most everyone has a $$$$........let's just cut through the BS......that's the only issue I have with your post.

Nothing wrong with selling to the thickest wallet IMO IF you ever do consider selling the tickets.

Enjoy the races.....;)

You're cool. :) You should do that. :) Screwing people is awesome. :) Maybe you could file some frivolous lawsuits while you're at it, too. :)

Don't even try to convince me that making $5900 off $85 tickets is the right way to go about making money. Well. I mean. Yeah. Go ahead and try.

I don't think everyone should flame Adenna. He was just asking a question. If I couldn't get a paddock pass, I would probably pay $100 for one. I'm already spending a ton to go out there so what's another $100. It's the law of supply and demand.

$100 is not $5900. Regardless, wouldn't you much rather be able to buy the tickets yourself instead of having to buy them off some douche that hoards them and inflates the prices -just- to screw you?
