Does anyone know the torque specs for the Frame and Clutch Slider bolts? I have a torque wrench that I use for my M3 wheels, and want to make sure the bolts on the R1 are torqued to spec.
Is that for both the Frame and Clutch bolts?Farmer-Ted said:The instructions for my GYT-R frame sliders said to torque the bolts to 28.8 ft-lbs.
That was for the frame sliders only.Chemical7 said:Is that for both the Frame and Clutch bolts?
Thanks! :thumbuprottenr1 said:If your frame sliders use the upper engine mounting hole, tighten to factory spec for front engine mounting bolt. (33ft. lb) Most clutch sliders require you to remove the stock swingarm pivot nut and replace it with the one that comes with the slider. Torque this nut to factory spec. (76ft. lbs.) Then tighten the slider bolt to 12-14 ft. lbs. Use blue Locktite on all the threads.
Thanks:thumbuprottenr1 said:Yes, you will use the stock washer.
