Are the scratches on the tubes from the lower triple visible when they are installed on a bike? How many miles are on the bike that they're off of? I have an 08 with gold forks that I want to convert to black.

 

There are a few scratches here and there but nothing visible from a distance. I still have yet to wipe them off after I took them off the bike. The bike had 11k miles on it. I replaced these with the gold ones off my 09 R1.

Could you post some pics of the forks after you clean the up, and some close ups of the scratches please?

Here they are, cleaned up. Mostly there are a few rubs from the upper and lower triple, then down near the bottom there are some rub marks. The RS fork has some tape on it. It was on the left but was taken off, I'm assuming by the previous owner.

The mark in this photo is the tape I was talking about. Looks to be from the factory. The marks are the tape and not the forks.

I got called into work last night and wasn't able to respond. I'm very interested in the forks. I'm working on selling the gold ones that I have on my bike right now. I've got someone that is interested in them, but I have to have them sold first so that I can have the money to buy yours.

 

It's all good. Had I known this last week I would have just traded them to you for your gold ones. I installed my gold 09 forks on my 07 so I have no more use for these :laugh Just let me know.
