If your thinking of doing it yourself, follow tidbits advice. I did and this it the result..........
ASHMAN... How did that yoke turn out?.. take some pics of it.. with another object in the reflection... Nice to hear you like it man!

Hrrm I wouldnt have guessed 80 grit to be too much, I mean removing the pits is removing the pits wether its 80 grit or 2000 grit just a matter of how much time ya wanna spend I thought.

Guess I will go back to using 220. Thanks for your help

Yah... The 80 grit will leave deeper gouges in the metal.. because it corser.. Meaning you take off more metal.. and for the other grits to make that smooth.. you have to go even deeper..

80 is too much.. but you can try one step down from 220.. that is 120 i believe.. :yesnod

also be careful of thoes welds on the spokes of the wheels.. Dont let yourself fall asleep on it.. :yesnod

rbike... are you doing this all by hand?

because if you are.. yer one crazy m0of0.. get a dremel CONTOUR sander.. it works wonders.. you can then clip your 220 grit into it.. and yer set...

Each wheel should take about 1 day to finish.. Including wet sanding from 220-2000 (takes about 1 1/2 hours) :thumbup

tidbit, these are some more pics of the clamp ,as yet i have no reflecting ones but I'll get some when I can..
