How full do you fill the gas tank?

I've been leaving some room when filling up 'cause I think I read somewhere once that the fuel will need some room to expand once it heats up. But a friend fills his RC up to the brim every time.

The difference is probably a quart or two. But I'm wondering what everyone else does when filling up.

I fill mine up to just below the small holes inside the filler cap.
Remember, the tank has a hose vent for run off. I've never had
it expand to that point.

Just fill it up to the top. It has an over flow valve incase the fuel decides to spill out in a turn but doubt that will happen. Plus your fuel cap has a rubber seal in it so gas won't leak out the top. Only reaso I can see not to fill it up all the way would be for weight.

I usually just unscrew my vortex cap and fill it through the little hole in the top.

Although i suppose if you had the time and patience, you could fill it from the bottom by pressurizing it in. :crash :butt

fill her up top the top, the way I ride it will be low soon. and yes all tanks have an overflow line just like your radiator.

I fill the tank until the gas starts overflowing all over the top of the tank.

All the way to the top. There's still room in there since the tank's tilted you don't actually fill it all the way and the drain tube will take care of things if it gets too full.

I rev the engine to 13k while filling it with a race can so it sucks the fuel out and holds more.
