How many miles do you ride a year?

Whats the average amount of miles people put on their bikes every year?

I live in a burb just outside Chicago but despite our crazy winters I still ride ALL year round. As long as its dry I'm riding.

The coldest its been when I've been riding was around/about 10 degrees. Obviously you have to dress for it and you can't ride crazy cause you'll get no traction but you can still ride...

Anyway...

I ride around 10,000 miles a year.

I know I'm above average but I know some crazy riders who have racked up crazy milage on their bikes.:riding :thumbup :fact

working on finding a thread I did awhile back.....I had 22000 then it was like maybe 3 mos ago
You need not find that thread as your pic is worth a million words.

I'm still trying to figure out how you did it...If you don't mind me asking...do you work or did you go through early retirement.

How long have you been riding? Would you say the R1 to be a reliable bike? Any serious problems with it?

I have had my R1 little less than a year...and yea I work...50-60 hours a week:eek:

I have no car so theres some of the miles...but at least Im riding.

reliable? take a look at that odometer again:lol

seriously I have not had anything major go wrong that wasnt my own fault...and that was a radiator that got a rock through it.

Im very anal on my maintenance(oil changes and lubes etc.....)stock chain and clutch...and yea I ride her hard every now and then.

in fact did about 200 miles this am...then it was off to work for 8 then 40 min ride home.

your bike should last you a good long time...have no fear its a yamaha after all:thumbup

Wow... i envy you guys... since i live up north, we only have a short season to ride, but i try ride whenever i can during the winter months.... for the most part the average milage for a year around here is around 5K.... I've had my 04 since may and i pushed 5K so far and people around here think that's above average.... I work and I take my bike to work everyday too (30 min.)... But still, i don't know how you guys do it....
