Well I did it, seems a bit much for what you get but I really like the idea of cleaning up the bike. If any of you are looking for a Micron high mount I have one for sell for 400.00 it has about 400 miles on it.

For real. :iamwithst It does clean up the looks of the bike. Is it
a straight through pipe or is there some sort of can we can't
see?

that pipe got slammed on this site when it first came out for being $5 worth of parts selling for $250, I happen to like it, it really cleans up the bike, I am still trying to find out if I can make it myself, there is an exhaust place that I know of that can prolly make it too for substantially less $$$

anybody else think that heat or condensation might get on the rear tire?

I can't believe you guys are even considering putting those Chrome Tips on the R1. With a short pipe like that you will loose HP due to a lack of Back-Pressure and if the design was so good then why don't the Pro's use them..?? I'll tell you because some Hilbilly Harley dude decided to make some money off of poor unsuspecting sportbike riders that don't know any better. A friend of mine bought one about 6 months ago and blew his packing right out of it plus the noise was very loud. MCM might know how to make hp for cruising bikes but sportbikes is a different story completly. The idea is good for having more lean angle but come on a Chrome Tip with some packing on the R1?:bs :bs

I was challeged a while to make the same thing for a fraction of the cost just to show people how much they were getting ripped off from mcm and this was what I was able to make for $20 but would never use on my bike.... Enjoy the pic...

Back-pressure was the first thing that came to my mind when I saw this, but if it's 1 or 2 hp I could live with that to get a diff/better look..

I'll be at jennings in about three weeks.. I'm not into bling bling, but I do like having a nice looking street bike as well as the "clean" look that pipe would give the bike..
