I know it's been discussed before but i don't remember seeing this. Has anyone tried to put reflective heat tape on the underside of their seat? I already got a flash and got rid of the cat but it still get warm lol..

I ordered some of this and plan on lining the bottom of the seat.

You might have better result by putting that in your underwear :lol No kidding here in Ar. in the summer the heat from the pipes under my thighs feels like a torch. If not for the leathers it would burn I'm sure when sitting at a light. I dont think much will be gained by putting under the seat, It may! but the can and the pipe is what need's shielding. And it wouldn't look very good with it.

I don't ride in shorts, lol, I live in SINY and have to ride in sh!t traffic and roads for at least 40 minutes before I can hit fun roads and ride fast enough to dissipate the heat.

Lol no shorts here man. occasional traffic is a culprit too
See above post, I hear ya.

Did you adjust the fuel after taking out the cat?
Mine was dyno tuned and runs perfect. Just very hot in traffic which you can't avoid around my way until you get to the good riding areas.

CV4 gold is $16 for 12x26 inch sheet on Amazon.
Good find!!!!

I put it on today, i think it came out pretty good. Have yet to ride it.
Nice neat job, report back on improvements.:beerchug:

The tape reflects the heat away making the area behind not as warm as before. It cost me less than $30 and about an hour of time. Best mod besides the flash imo.
Good to hear!!!

Ride faster and don't sit in traffic, problem solved (for me at least).

Of course I'm lucky enough to live out here in the country, where I don't need to ride through traffic to get to the fun roads.
Reference my above post and it will explain why some of us have issues.

Sure! Rub it in!
LOL, ya, right!
