interchangeable foot pegs?

Hi All,
Brand new here, just bought an '03 R1 this morning. The bracket on the right rear passenger foot peg (that holds the exhaust can) is snapped. I'm finding a few on eBay that are for '01 R1's and 02 R6's.

I'm wondering if these are interchangeable because the 02 R6 is ~$10 and I'd rather buy the cheaper option.

Parts numbers from Yamaha are:

'03 R1: 5PW-27440-01-00
'02 R6: 5EB-27440-00-00

4xv, 5jj and 5pw R1 are interchangable. Don't know about the R6 but it sure looks the same.

No the r6 is like a whole other bike my sister has an 03 r6... Your better off getting the same one used I wouldn't suggest the aftermarket ones I had the they are not as sturdy as the stock ones

Thanks for the advice. I'll spend the extra couple bucks and get the right part. I'll let you know what I get.
