Interchangeable Parts Between Generations

What's up all; I'm new to the R1 and was wondering if there were/are any parts from the current gen R1 that interchange with the 07-08 or 04-06. Did a search but didn't find much.

If there is sticky that I missed please disregard...and let me know where to find it.

Has anyone successfully experimented with swapping out various parts for more optimal OEM pieces? I.E. Wheels, brakes rotors, MC, rear sets, mufflers, clip-on's, etc.

short answer, not much...

wheels sure, mc is same on both (just oem brembo mc, non radial), levers lol? front fender!? front end possibly but its gotta include triple clamps n' all with forks i believe..
front & rear calipers may be interchangeable, probably clip-ons... i'm basing this just by looking at your pic in direct comparison to the xplanker...

i have seen some swap the front end between 06 and 07 R1 but it was a complete swap as mentioned above

Wheels, front and rear brakes, Forks (if you bring the fender with the forks), mc, rotors. The triple can be switched but it is a different offset
