Going around a corner about 5 mph and I think I hit some gravel or oil and she low sided on me. I fell off, the bike stood back up and ran herself into the curb where she fell over smashing the front of the bike. I'm fine...ego's hurt a bit. Just cosmetic damage......

Don't feel bad about the squid shit, a few years back I hit a deer doing about 15mph, damn that was painful. I too was only wearing shorts and a T. It almost seems like the slow speed ones hurt the most sometimes. Nothing a little neo-sporine and a few hundred $ can't fix though, glad you're alright and there's tons of parts for 02/03's all over ebay in case you don't have ins or you don't wanna claim. Good luck, heal quick, get back on the horse. I've "bonded" w/ my ride too, it would take a whole lotta damage to separate us. Look at the bright side, you get to ride year round. A small crash like that where I live could ruin a whole year/season.

There's not a doubt in my mind about getting back on the horse. Shitty thing is I gotta ride around on a wrecked bike. That's just a kidney punch to my pride right there.... As far as the whole gear thing goes... I know... I usually do wear it when I go out for a ride, but when I go to work I don't. Coulda been alot worse.... I think it's God's way of telling me, "What did the five fingers say to the face? SLAP!" :yesnod
