Kent Stotz xxx blackbird CRB cranked out 505 bhp on racing gasoline alone.

"Honda's support was what we needed to get to the next level," said Stotz. "They build a bulletproof engine. I still can't believe that we are generating this kind of reliable horsepower on a virtually stock engine with 30 pounds of boost."

The 2004 season saw Stotz set the quickest time or fastest speed in five of the eight Prostar races. Fierce competition with his former teammate Barry Henson saw the class ET record drop by nearly .4 of a second, from 7.64 to 7.25 seconds. At the finals in Gainesville, Stotz clocked the fastest quarter-mile ever at 200.49 mph in 7.256 seconds-just .002 seconds behind Henson, the eventual series winner.

Stock bottom end lasts all season long !!!!!

some stock bottom ends will, but not all of them. nothing wrong with russian roulette as long as you get lucky most of time, but all it takes is once. i credit them and others for bullet proof motors. hell i spray crap outta my R1 with stock components. but i feel lucky that i dont have oil on my leathers pass after pass. I would feel better with good rods just for security.

from dragbike, just cuz its says virtually stock doesnt mean that it doesnt have good rods in it.

i tend to believe the falicon crankshaft components means falicon crank and falicon rods tho i cant seem to find any other specs on it. still impressive

OMG:confused: :scared 500hp hayzus christ

500hp...damn .... :rock but they are making a killing on the mark up on those kits

This is a quote from one of the best Turbo Busa guys after seeing that chart:

THEY NEED TO EXTEND THE RPM ON THAT RACE KIT OR IT'LL BE A DYNOQUEEN CURVE DEFINATELY HARD TO STAY IN THE MEAT OF THE CURVE

Did you guys notice the 'rideability' factor? :)

Right on for Muzzy... The 1000cc bikes are going to be the featured RUNNERS in Pro Star and Nopi this year it looks.. I've been hearing the tech stuff from muzzy's developers over the last few months and couldn't wait to see things... a built engine to sustain it all for a race season and the restrictions of the BUSA and 12's are gonna put the 1000cc monsters in a GOOD position and about 125 - 150 lbs less...... GONNA BE a fun YEAR!

btw.. If things pan out one of our riders will be sporting a BIG boost R1 at selected events and it'll need 450 - 525 hp and chassis setup to be a front runner for the 1000's this year...

mmm problem with turbos producing 500bhp is how fast do you have to be going before you can give it enough throttle to hear it start spooling, and who doesnt gas turbos just to hear them scream :scared

How much can the stock crank and rods take hp wise before they need to be upgraded. R1 and ZX-10
