actually i like the lower flat black... it holds up better to weather and i like the 2 tone that yamaha always has; plus, the flat black yamaha uses matches perfectly to the swinger and the rest of the mechanical parts... bike looks more mechanical and organic IMO this way. i had the 05 RED one, and i loved the flat black lowers on it, and this is why i went with blue this year... i never liked my R6 when it had all blue fairings either, i put silver lowers on it when i had it...

Did you switch out brand new tires, sprockets and chain ? I figured I'd chew up the garbage it came with first, although I understand the desire, that stock sprocket is but ugly.
Congrats on the new bike :thumbup

yup, first thing i did was ditch the dunlops... they are mcdeath and will get u know where sept the ditch... i wanted to drop a tooth on this bike because i was unhappy with the tall gearing on my 05, and what better way to do it than AFAM sprockets and a DID ERV3 chain right?

well look a little closer... tron is from Australia, you are in America!
different laws for different countries :2bitchsla

anyway, the cover for the front sprocket is there for a reason...

i would prefer blue lowers on it, but a lot of people prefer black lowers... it seems to be one of those cosmetic things that yamaha will never win on... i also like the painted ram air tubes...

enjoy your bike aar0ncee when the sun comes out :fork
