Just got delivered today!!!:jump:jump:jump

I have to thank member NSDQ!
This was a great deal and working this out with him was a breeze. I promised him I would take care of it. Can't wait to take this bad boy to the track. Shorai battery already installed and a new set of tires on the way. :)

Siiiiiickkk!!! Did you buy it from Jeff?
Yeah D, I picked it up from Jeff. Great guy, I'm hoping he chimes in soon.

Yet another, you Bitch. Wish we were closer. I'd love to take part in the prep. Maybe you'd let me be part of the pretty factor. I've already got ideas! All that red, can't you see an easy transition to a Marlboro bike ?! So, compared to what your used to I don't see a lot of wow. Tell us about what we can't see, ( and keys are just a pain in the ass anyway! )
Cool stuff Steve....:thumbup.

Who wants to place a bet on how long it takes for him to mod the living shit out of it?! :hammer:
Thanks Jack...I think? :lol

Ben, I might take that bet......:dundun:

And I thought my grass was bad :crash

Good job the great bike detracts from that eh? :lol :thumbup
You're hilarious! :rant We are on a water rationing right now. Can only water 2 days a week.
Thanks.

Pro and Amateur
Expert and Amateur; expert is white, amateur is yellow

The history:

This is an Ex-Factory Yamaha Supersport bike ridden by Damon Buckmaster in 2003
-Ridden by Michael Barnes at Daytona in 2004 -Ridden to a 9th place finish
in Daytona 200 in 2005 by Taylor Knapp. Remember folks, this is pre-DMG supersport
so the specs are very similar to those in today's Superbike series.

- -Rebuilt motor to supersport specs
115hp at rear wheel
- top level suspension w/ Ohlins 4way adj. rear shock, and Ohlins fork
internals all rebuilt w/ 1 race.
- Ohlins steering damper also rebuilt
- Yamaha kit ECU w/ quick shifter and piggyback Powercommander III USB
- Quick disconnect brake lines
-Quick adjustment Clutch perch
-CRG brake lever with Remote adjuster
- Graves rearsets, clip-ons, case covers, light weight rear rotor and fairing stay
- Full Leo Vinci titanium formula xtreme exhaust w/ large diameter tubing
and short can.
- Hotbodies race glass painted in the Hotbodies colors
- All safety wired

Mods are going to be minimum for now. It needed a new battery, and tires for sure.
I will be getting a stiffer spring for the rear shock. I would prefer radial calipers and
upside down forks, so it will be getting an upgrade to my stock 06 forks that were
rebuilt by Catalyst Reaction 2 season's ago. Then my stock calipers with some Xrac
pads. Last but not least, I will be installing my Carrozzeria V-track wheels if there
are not a lot of modifications needed and, if I can find them, a set of chain adjusters.
I'll probably leave them on there for now, but probably a fresh set of fiberglass, these
are on their last leg er, uh, tyrap. :lol

Just keeping it simple for now. I want to use this bike to hone my skills and get faster
without worrying (too much) about laying her down and having to replace loads of work
and high dollar parts.

Great track weapon,congrats...
Thanks guys! :thumbup

Awesome that you finally got it Steve! :thumbup
Yeah, I didn't think it would ever show up. You'll get to see her up close at the GR meet in September.

Hey Steve - enjoy her for sure! I miss her already :cryin but I know she's in great hands! Your tentative mods list is perfect, not a lot is needed on that baby. Take lots of pictures! Thanks again for such a smooth transaction. You are one of the forum titans in my book!

For anyone who was curious, I was rocking #14 in memory of Chad Clifton.
Have to say thanks again Jeff. This was such an easy process and very enjoyable. I hate that you had to sell it, but it will be well taken care of for a long time to come. This was an awesome deal, and even better was the act that I am crazy for this gen. R6. I've always been very partial to it. For it to be for sale AND an ex factory bike is just a dream come true.

Jeff, if you ever need anything, make sure you call me first. I feel like I owe you so much for this. :thumbup

Promises promises. :lol
Thanks Dave. Hope you can make it!

Very nice dude! A very underestimated bike IMHO.
I agree. I have been a fan of this model for a while. It's power delivery is so much more smooth and solid than the newer bike. I remember Road Racing World's comparison between the 05 and 06, Chris Ulrich did almost the same lap times. More torque on this bike than the newer bike will be better for me to learn to get faster.

Nice lookin bike!!!
Thanks bro!
