My wife doesn't know I bought it yet...

The bike is hidden... but she's a smart gal. How will she find out? Maybe when the new title shows up in the mail? Things were so much easier when I was single...

Does she know you ride man? Buying shit for the bike, hitting track days, etc, are one thing...but damn, buying the entire bike?

There was a thread on here once probably a year back where some fella did that. Chick wasn't aware he bought the bike and didn't like them to begin with - something about past history not being good around bikes. Don't recall the turnout, but the consensus was the dude was a prick for doing something like that to her.

Hope she doesn't care you ride, and then well it's just a good laugh if the money isn't an issue. Hell, my wife buys enough ****ing shoes to outfit a small army, so I always figured that justified my track expenses. :fact

Ha! Hope I don't end up with the prick status. She should be cool with it. I've been riding since I was 6 years old... her dad has ridden bikes his whole life... money isn't an issue. She was giving me some flak about safety issues so I just deferred and made the decision on my own... :epimp

Nice back man! Maybe paint it into city camo will make it less visible? :D

great bike.. sounds like you're pretty confident your woman will come around..

at least with her old man having been a rider all his life... it makes it a bit easier..

My first wife said I couldn't have a bike unless it was a harley, we got divorced shortly after. I told my second wife that I'm buying a sport bike and she can like it or kiss my ass. I didn't really say that but wanted too. She doesn't care what I buy as long as we have the bills covered, which we are debt free except for one car payment. But I wouldn't just go buy it without telling her. Recipe for disaster, and I like my second wife.

When I decided I wanted an R1 I told my wife I was going to buy a bike, then just did it. She knows I work extremely hard for my money and doesn't tell me what I can do with it. She also knows I'd rather be single than be told what to do.

Hey man you only have one life to live, so its best you enjoy it. I couldn't get away with a purchase that big, not without atleast saying something about it. But if I want something and I work my ass off to get it she can be mad all she wants. All I would do is tell her, if she doesn't like it she can kick rocks. Life is way too short to not enjoy something you love doing.

^5 I do that to my husband alot. The only vehicle he knew I was getting was my present bike. But I don't hide it. I like to see his head explode. :lol ;)

Good luck! :)

Atta boy. Shit man I always told all of the girlfriends I've had that I had priorities. If they didn't like it, it was their issue not my.
