Torn between installing them in the low beams or high beams.

I'm thinking low beams.

Opinions?

my 2 cents
go for the highbeams
here is why

HID is way brighter than ur highbeams
so keep the low beams when u r in traffic going SLOOOOOOw
so u dont tick others off
also if a cop gives u hard time--just flip the low beams on

this way u give urself options

those things R F-ing BRIGHT
my buddy has 2 in his 636
dam see him for miles at night on the highway
he is behind--remember he has 600cc bahahahha
send us pics dude

If they are true HIDs, put them in the low beams, as it is bad to switch them off and on real quick. HIDs take a while to heat up, and actually light correctly, that's why cars use them for low beams, and normal halogens for the highs. They burn out quicker if they are flipped on and off quickly.

these bikes have high beams????

J/k those 4 lights blaring drained my batt one day when I switched the bike off for like 30 seconds, never put on the high beams again.

I say out them in the low beams, or one high one low, that might actually be cool.

maybe i am missing something here
if you put them in the highbeam-at least you have control when u want them on
Yes-in the daytime ride with them on-better visibility
now u have the option for night riding withour driving others crazy
and brining attention to yourself
i.e . car 1 to car 2--you will see him comming a mile away-cant miss the headlights-book him Danno

one way you have control of when they are on---one u dont

Are HID's illegal?

HID's turn night into day, why would you want to use them in the day, you don't need light.

I say USE THE hid's as you main, nighttime, primary driving lights.

Why the hell someone would put them in their high beams is beyond me. No offense to anyone, but if your;e going to do that, save yourself 200 dollar sand get hyperwhite bulbs.

You don't need lights in the daytime, so it's a waste, and in the nighttime, when you could use that SUPERbright, day giving light, you won't be able to because they're DEFINITLEY too hight to use at night on the high beam, PLUS you cannot flash them, they have to warm up, and On/Off is NO GOOD with HID's.

Also I forgot to see what year bike you have but if youhave an 04, the beam is So defined, it's not going to matter what light is hitting them, it's bright.

I use my high beams during the day. I want to be seen by cagers.
