Welcome and nice choice! Don't know about a consensus, but I went with the Graves fender eliminator and am happy with it.

.....Graves is nice. I made the mistake of buying the cheap ABS Hotbodies ($50) one. DONT WAISTE $$$ on the Hotbodies!!!

If law enforcement is not a problem for you" I velcroed mine flat on the undertail" right above the two plastic rivets.Nice and clean and you can't even tell there's a plate on when looking from the side.Ive done this on all my bikes.Never has one came off.and I spend a lot of "time" above 160.Just a "thought"
TST Ind.makes a nice looking one.I can't comment on the quality because I don't have it.

You need the big Velcro "thowe" strong stuff. And do the entire plate not just around the edges. Clean it very well to it's polypropylene I beleive so over time it starts to unstick. So just put new Velcro now and then.
