Question: And answer this ONLY if you know

The 2002 High race mount.. Are you 100% sure you can keep the stock passenger pegs... And I'm talking 100%.. Because I have yet too see a pic of the High race Hindle with pass pegz on it.. :yesnod

Alright, done my research and I want the Hindle street high mount with carbon can, any takers on the best deal? Maybe we should get a group buy going? I know alot are undecided, but if the price is right desicions happen!
Tidbit to answer your question I went to the master himself!! In a thread called "Full exhaust" started by "evilR1" on 12-1 Hindle himself said this:

"Hindle makes a stainless steel slip-on system, a full stainless steel street system and a full stainless steel race system. Each system is available in low or high mount with the high mount allowing you to retain the rear passenger footpegs by using a spacer kit provided with the system. The slip-on system will reduce the weight slightly and give you about 3 to 4 horsepower at the rear wheel over the stock system. The full street system makes about 8 to 10 horsepower over the stock system and the race system makes about 12-14 horsepower over the stock system. Both full systems weigh between 8 and 9 pounds depending on the muffler used. Please contact your local dealer or visit www.brockdavidson.com or www.streetandcompetition.com "

I don't think anyone else is as 100% sure as he is! Hope I have been a little helpful. Sometimes I try!:)

Yes, I am 100% sure you can retain passenger pegs with the race high-mount. I chose not to use it that way...never have passengers, so I opted so save a few pounds by removing passenger peg assemblies.

Just giving you guys an update.

I and getting a Hindle... It's not the Street version.. and NOT the Race version you all know.. From what Chris says (my hookup).. It's another race system but only comes in Ally/Ti. He did say it isn't sold on websites and would be very hard to find when race season ramps up. This pipe gets 2-3 more than the Race (looks the same just a diff diameter pipe).

Price I'm gettin.. $569.00

Too bad they dont make a CF can for this pipe :( If you guys have ever heard of this pipe... lemme know.. I know chris isn't BSin me.. because he's one of my best friends.. :yesnod

That is the same pipe I run and a few others here have it also. The diffrence is that the mid pipe is 2.25 inches so the muffler opening is also oversized to 2.25 inches to accept it. You will be very happy with this pipe I think. Mine works great.

It seems that your "hookup" may have some invalid information there. Hindle makes a stainless 4-2-1 front section(Hindle standard exit part #YZF1022SS) and a larger diameter 4-2-1 stainless race front section(Hindle standard exit part#YZF1022SSR). That is all, period(standard/high exit offered in both). If you are going with the race front section, you need the 18" X 2.25" muffler or the 20" X 2.25" muffler.

All sizes of mufflers are offered in Titanium, Stainless or Carbon in Stealth(Street) or Supersport(Race) and either Oval or Round shape for both race and street front sections and slip-ons.

Here is the Hindle OE#CFR18225OV for the Carbon muffler that will work with the race front section. Hope this helps.

But Ityson said there is a pipe like that!.... oh well.. the cans are all replaceable.. i'll just order an extra carbon can... :thumbup

Hey Tidbit, let me tell you what I know. I have the high race version of their new pipe. The newest pipe that Hindle offers is the one your buddy is speaking of in the 2.25 inch diameter. My understanding is that the head pipe is the same as the normal race systems the diffrence is in the elbow that is now 2.25. This also means then that the end can is different as the can has to support the larger 2.25 elbow. So he is right it looks the same as the regular race systems but has a diffrent diameter pipe from the start of the mid pipe back. A few others on the board have this very same setup. Hope this helps you.

ps: My forum name is acctually "L"tyson. The lowercase L makes it look like a capital "I". :)

I am thinking that is the 2-1/4" mid pipe and can set up. That is what BDE sells. It is called the "Race" as I have pics shown of in this thread.

I am also 100% sure you can bolt up the rear pegs with the race system but looks like you have to use the bracket with the pegs. Looked kinda funny to me but you CAN do it if you wanted to. I just chose to remove the pegs because I cant ever get my wife to ride ! ha ha.

I guess you didn't feel like reading the post I made earlier?

Here it is for those in the cheap seats.
