Power commander 3 problems

Hello,
So I decided today to take a look at what is loaded on my Power commander 3 since I purchased the bike with it on there. I have done a couple things to the bike so thought I may need to re-tune it. The guy I bought it from said it had a Dyno tune... Well after connecting to the bike and downloading the map from the PC3, it tells me it is:
European Model, Scorpion slip-ons with catalytic Converter removed and Stock or aftermarket air filter

in the notes... So my bike isn't a European model, and it had the cat the whole time, but it did have a K&N filter... So it wasn't Dyno tuned...

Well I did gut the cat today so I guess that makes it more correct, but I also installed some Roth velocity stacks last week. So there is no specific map for: Scorpion slip-ons, catalytic converter removed, Roth is pretty much the same specs as Graves Velocity stacks, and the after market air filter.

Would, Graves full exhaust system Graves stacks Stock or aftermarket air filter probably work for me? How much difference is there between different brands slip-ons?

Sorry this is turning into a long post, but I also had an issue...
I was getting a little carried away with the PC software and tried to update the firmware on the PC3 and it failed... Now no lights turn on and my computer won't connect to the Power commander. Is there a way to "Reset" the PC to factory or update the firmware again to the right one? I took the PC off my bike and have it on my desk with a 9v battery that I can plug into it. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Why are there so many different maps for each kind of slip-on? Are the differences between each brand quite a bit?

I think once I get my power commander back up and running, I'll just take it to a dyno tuner. luckly I have one that is about 5 miles from me... Though it's a Harley Davidson place... So they probably charge a ton.

So I did compare the graves system map to the European map that I had and overall the amount of fuel is less across the board with the Euro map. Especially lower and mid rpm range. I was wondering why the low and mid power seemed off. After installing the velocity stacks it did help though.

I'm going to call Dynojet today and see if they can help me with my "bricked" Power Commander. I'll probably have to send it to them or buy this $40 module that I would only use once...

I'll look into those smog Block offs. Thanks for the heads up Doppler.

Just a little update. I was able to get a hold of a Dynojet technician today about the bricked power commander. He gave me 3 options.
1. buy a Programmer module called:
REV X-TEND and START FUEL Update Kit
SKU: HDREV" ($40+9 shipping)
This will allow a forced firmware update even if it doesn't communicate with the computer.
2. See if there is a dyno dealer around where I live that has one of these devices and ask if I can use it for a small fee.
3. Send it into Dynojet with a 2 week turnaround for $34 including shipping.

I went ahead and just bought the module. Here is a link to the kit you can purchase from Dynojet. Link for kit

I had a heck of a time finding this online before talking to the tech at Dynojet anyway, so this will be for anyone with my same problem.

Thanks.

Another quick update.
The device worked great and I was able to update the firmware of my Power commander 3 usb.

I loaded the full Graves system map which was a bit more fuel rich than the older European scorpion slip-on map. I did notice I was smelling some fuel (maybe it was in my head) so I found another map which was pretty similar to the graves map but overall a little less fuel in the mix.
The map was: 421-006 Graves slip-ons (eliminates catalytic converter) Graves velocity stacks, Stock or aftermarket air filter.

Seemed a little more to my bike as I didn't have the full graves exhaust (Not sure what the difference is though).
BUT, the bike seems to be running great now and I love the low end acceleration with the velocity stacks and the -1/+1 from the sprocket change.

Thanks for the help everyone.
