Both are great screens. You can't go wrong with either one of them. I have a zero gravity and my buddy has a puig.

Puig has a black-fade on the lower section similar to the stock windscreen, and a large white "R" graphic near the middle, as well coming with a rolled vinyl edge trim. Having both, I can say they are both high quality, and fit perfectly. The ZG seems to be lighter in weight, though I have not tested/confirmed this on a scale.

I was wondering this same thing too... thanks for the info.

As for the LARGE R on the PUIG, that only comes on the light smoke, not the dark smoke, right? What do you guys think of that "R"?

And, I noticed there are bolts on the inside of the windscreen... will the ones closest to the headlights be a problem when unscrewing them? Will they fall out? And how difficult is it to get them back on?

(Just questions from someone who is thinking about putting on the double-bubble screen, and deciding between brands and whether or not I should worry about losing some of the nuts in the upper fairing.)

Thanks!

;) I just installed my light smoke Puig..........great fit and finish. don't worry about installation. When you remove the stocky, it hold rubber plugs at all six holes. These have threaded brass inserts in the rubber. Remove all six, install in the new screen and install the new screen on the bike............15 minutes tops.

Lt. Smoke is correct for the "R"!
Edit: Video cam works great through the Lt. Smoke also!!

Do these windshields help high speed airflow?

I noticed above like 150, it gets turbulent around my helmet, and by 160 it gets down right hard to see.

Thanks,
Randy
Yes, they help very noticably with reduced wind blast.

puig dark '04

I got my dark puig db at cyclegear. They just happened to have one in stock and I'd never had a db before so I got it. Honestly I can't tell a difference between the stock and the db as far as wind deflection. Looks pretty good though. I scratched up my stocker accidentally on a really buggy ride when I only had a paper towl (grrr) available. Microfiber and the Puig get along pretty well. I had painted the inside of my stocker and I think it looked better completely black. Thinking of painting the inside of my Puig. Mine does NOT have the R graphic on the bottom by the way. Must just be the light smoke model. '04 R1. HTH.
