What is it with you Sydney 'ciders' and putty road? I towed my R1 there on the back of my trailer from ADL to ride it. Expecting to get the ride of my life ......... What a SH1T road it is. The only good part is the SMALL set of twisties from the half-way house towards Singo. I say BOO to putty.
What does evryone else think of it?

 

What are you on about Ash? The putty from the half way house is a good 35 to 40 km. Try doing it all day long mate.

Sounds great. I'll ride with you KwakaDemon. I'll probably grab a few other riders to come along.

If you like we can do the Sydney=>Putty=>Broke=>Wollombi=>Old Road=>Sydney loop if you like. Probably 4 hours riding and we can stop at Road Warriors and get some lunch/coffee.

Ash, not sure if you just drove with your bike on the trailer or not but come up and have another look... oh.. and bring HELP with you for so he can give us some lessons on how to ride

Fast sweepers are fun sometimes too. There are some long boring straights but it's all good.
At least we dont have sh1tloads of traffic like you seem to have up the spur.
I'll try to get a few crew along.

 

Be careful about the cops there these days. They know its a drivers \ riders paradise, and will take great pleasure in relieving you of their tax revenue ( sorry, I mean to say fining you for clearly being a menace to society... ).

Last time I was there,their was a Blue XR6 ,very plain in colour but had a video camera front and rear .You might also want too call the 1/2 way house to see if they have fuel LOL.

ASHMAN : You are a very hard man to please. What part of the putty did you exactly do,how many riders. All I can say is that the southern part winsor to 1/2way house is a bloody fast section.i"ve had my R1 pinned and had a Busa go past me lol.The Northern section is great sure its only like 15k"s of corners but they are fun ,better than the old road any way.plus if you really want you can just ride at a casual pace and take in the scenery. Im not trying to have a go at you but would be keen to know what exactly you didnt like.Its a shame you came so far and didnt like it

Hence, going to the putty.
Got a mate in sydney who's been on the putty the last few weekends and he has'nt seen any fuzz on there on saturdays.
I'd love to do the old road again but it's to hot and the putty really is my favorite. If we go up there earlyish, like 8 or so then we can rest at the halfway house and do runs all day to the twistiest bit of the lot!

Uhhh, actually mate i,d prefer to just stick to the putty aswell as others who are coming. Hey if you know the putty so well you could show us mexicans a thing or two on that black dunger you own! I perfer the putty to the old road. i haven' seen cops up there for ages and the old road has least one copper up they to stop fun. It will a great day lots of twisty.
