Question?? Can I use Exhaust Wrap to Wrap my baffle??

So I have a 03 which I have done the stealth exhaust mod where you get a baffle, put your muffler packing around it and then wrap it with teflon tap.
I am trying to see if I can switch out the teflon tap and use the more durable exhaust wrap like THIS. Just wondering because I know it will be time to change the packing soon.

OR....is it possible to actually just wrap your baffle with exhaust wrap without muffler packing??

It's the packing that does the work, the teflon tape is just to hold it in place while you put it back
