Am I wrong in believing that the directional arrows on my tire should face forward? The reason I ask ... I just noticed that my front tire's directional arrow on the side is facing to the rear! Let me know.

The reason I ask ... I just noticed it today. The point I'm getting too is that my little Bro highsided her about 2 months ago. He said that it felt like the front tire "gave out" or slid on him in a turn with no gravel or sand, and he was only going about 15 into the turn.

I was just verifying the installation of the tire. Making sure I wasn't misguided early on.

Do you guys think this could have caused his mishap? The tread facing the wrong direction?:dunno

can't hi-side if the front washes out, that would result in a low-side.

hi-side is too much throttle on the rear

I think what happened is he felt it starting to give so he overcorrected and high sided it. He leaned in the wrong direction, and when he did ... lost control.

If you are standing on the right side of the bike, look at the arrows on the top side of the tire, they should point foward. Now look at the arrows on the bottom side of the tire (still on the right side of the bike), they shoudl be pointing towards the rear. As stated before, the arrows point in the direction of the rotation. The arrow would appear to be pointing to the rear if you were looking at it while it was on the bottom.
