Thanks for all the replies guys. I think I'm going to just save up for an R6 and turn it into my track whore. I just can't let go of my R1. Love it too much.

I love my R6. Fits my riding style much better vs the R1. Although, the R1 is a better bike if you doing longer open runs. Carving the corners it's R6 all the way...

Rode a 2003 R6 for a year or two (1999 R6 before that). If I had to go back down in displacement and money was no object then I would almost certainly get a Daytona 675.

Did a demo ride on the street about a year ago. Really enjoyed riding it.

I too really like the r6 and i even owned one before i made the leap to the r1. I really love the new model r6. When i had mine there was only one model which is now called the r6s.

My bro just bought a new r6 and I finally got to ride it some. Although a great bike but after being on an r1 for 8 years man i really missed the power of the r1 and notcied it right away. I found myself twisting the throttle looking for that same pull the r1 gives but was always let down. I thought it would be fun to ride but i found myself wishing i was on my r1 instead and became a not so fun ride wanting my r1 back the whole time. Needless to say my bro now wants an r1 HEHEHEHEHEHE!

In my experience, I had a 05 r6 before i got my 06 r1. i miss the r6 at times. i almost sold my r1 to buy another one, but decided the day before that i couldnt do it. My r1 is much more comfortable for my size, but i do miss the cornering ability of the r6 especially on tight twisties. In the three months that I have had my one, I have found myself going faster with more confidence than before with my r6. But as mentioned before, if I had the extra money, I would definitely have another r6.

I miss my 07 R6, but I really love the power of the R1. Once I get to the mountains in May, (TENN), I'll have a better personal opinion of the R1. Unfortuneatly I live in Florida so 2 or 3 curves isn't enough to formuate a opinion.

I will say that the R6 in Tenn is an awsome combo!
