scotts damper madness

hey, first off scott's damper rules, but i noticed something weird:

I landed a wheelie, obviously a bit crooked which activated the high speed circuit which has really stiff dampening.

the only thing is, the high speed circuit seemed to stay engaged, so my bike was pulling really hard right. for a good minute I was wrestling with the steering, and then suddenly the circuit disengaged and all was normal again. This has happened several times, anyone else get this?

I dont know if you guys have heard of this before but my buddy told me about how his buddy went to Daytona this past year and had his Scotts damper stolen. Apparently people are walking around with the hex bit and popin off the damper and just leaving the bracket behind. It was suggested to me that I change that to a torx bit or safety torx... just thought I would pass this info along the line. See ya !

I just had mine stolen this past weekend. I've only had it for like 2 or 3 weeks. The damper is gone, but all the mounts are still on the bike. Scotts will sell me just the damper for like $250. So now I just paid $650 for mine.

Just got off the phone with Scotts, they sell a security kit (those 2 bolts that are 6mmX20mm) for the damper now. The difference is it is it will take a hex head with a hole drilled in it to remove the bolts. The guy quoted me 6.95 for the kit. Maybe its not a bad investment... but then again I dont let my bike out of my sight !
