I ride an f4. It certainly isn't as fast as the r1, but damn, I didn't think a vette could smoke a 600. That's it, I'm gonna buy a gixx 1k and i'm gonna hunt him down and we'll go at it again.

maybe a modified one...a lingenfelter vete would destory an r1 from a stop...roll on...top speed. faster than a busa to 60 and in 1/4 mile as well.

Well the road we were on was twisty and I was riding at 110 in 3rd gear while bangin off redline. Damn, I need a new bike. Anybody wanna sell me their R1?

If I remember right you can hit 70-80 before you even need to switch to 2nd... I just wrecked on Tues I don't think it's effected my head that much....

 

ah..last time I raced a Z06, i just absolutly pummled his ass.....As far as I see it, unless someone has a consistant low 10second street leagle car, nothing is going to come close to a superbike....

 

on my f4 first gear bangs out at around 70. I usually don't like to shift at redline since shifting from 1st to second at that high rpm causes the gears to make this hideous grinding noise. My first priority tommorow is to re-evaluate my riding style. The road we were on was extremely twisty so riding style is much more crucial than rediculous amounts of power. But hell, I still want something faster.

just -1 down front with a yosh slip-on. the slip-on was installed because i like the sound unfortunately it doesn't result in any power gains. I really gotta ask, how many of you guys actually push past 100 while riding in the mountains. 100 is my absolute max when I rode down mullhuland hwy out here in SF valley, CA. I've ridden with some of cali's finest and none of them ever go past that. So be honest, do you guys ever use the r1's absolute maximum power?

 

Hey Kevin this is my favorite turn in the city. It exits off the freeway and goes downhill. I can take a turn like that at about 80 with exit speed at about 100. I've tuned my R1's suspension too. So now she sticks like a biatch or did anyway she's gone now...tear...:cryin

tate, is this a freeway in the L.A. area? cuz i'm not sure i've seen it before. that looks like a wide turn. No offense or anything, but if I was only riding 80 in a turn like that I would run the risk of falling asleep from boredom.

 

No it's in NM. And I don't think you can see it very well it's one lane downhill and 360 degrees of turn.. I guess you can't tell from the pic but it's pretty tight

Yeah thank goodness that bear was on some heavy a$$ drugs. He don't look like it but he weighed about 500 pounds, at the end of summer he ended up gaining weight to over 700!

Yeah some people do go a little crazy up here so they put these light lamps in the tv room. Be walking by and see some guy sitting there with the light lamp on trying to catch some rays, kinda weird cause it seems that mostly bald dudes are sitting by them
