smog emissions elimination

first of all to all my mechanics on this forum...are there differences in cams between the CA model 02 r1 and the 49 State model 02 r1?

my primary question is about changing my California 02 r1 into a 49 state r1...i know that the California model has the charcoal canister and the clean air system on it. does anyone know the exact process of taking the darn thing out and re-routing the cables.

I believe the cams are the same - or 1bhp less. Nothing to get crazy over.

I also believe all '02's have cat convert in muffler. CA models have charcoal cannister, etc.

I just took mine off and plug the hole in the fuel tank and there two hoses from the throttle bodies come into white connector, I plug those off also... thats it... Is that how every1 else did theirs?

The cams are the same, the only difference is the charcoal canister, both CA and 49 state have the AIS.

I am rebuilding a crashed R1 (2001) and I was wondering if you have any pictures of how you "unplugged" your canister.

Or more details. Not much about the thing in the Clymer manual.
