Hey all, new member here. Just picked up a '99 Thursday after my '96 Honda CBR F3 was totalled by cager. I have no fingers on my left hand, so I flipped the clutch around so I can push it in instead of pull it. I had to unplug the clutch switch connectors, but I don't think that has anything to do with my issues.
I already looked over the sticky on gauge cluster issues, but my problems are slightly different, so just curious if anyone has any additonal input.
Tach and neutral light is about all that works, but the whole cluster resets sometimes after I use the front brake.
Speedo is always at zero, odometer does not work, clock not even appearing.
Turn signals work intermittently, ran out of gas this morning at 3 am, because the fuel light didn't come on. It comes on for a second when I turn the bike on though. Temp gauge works intermittently, sometimes it just says "Lo"
Going to take a look at the connector on the left side tomorrow when it gets light out. Also going to check battery voltage and terminals, and R/R connector.
Any other input?
Also, what speed is redline is 6th gear with stock gearing?
