Typically it costs between $50-100. Being someone who likes to be ready ahead of time I learned how to do this on my own many years ago and then sought out training from Dave Moss of Catalyst Reaction Suspension Tuning.
The problem with paying someone at the track is you will never really understand what changes to make to resolve problems. And there is NEVER a perfect handling motorcycle. The faster you get the more often you will require a change. For example, you go to the track and your tires are wearing perfectly, you have been using tire warmers and checking the pressure throughout the day to keep them in the optimal range as the ambient temperature changes...day one you are doing 1:50's and then you discover a revelation and day two in the exact same conditions you are doing 1:40's. However, now that you are going 10 seconds faster you are now getting strange looking tire tears and chatter at the front. Why is this? Well what works at 1:50 lap time may not work at 1:40 and so on.
Some dude at the track who has a ton of people wanting a setup may rush through this process AND may not know what to do for you to resolve your issue without spending some time with you to get your feedback over many laps or sessions.
Setting up baseline sag is the first order of business > here is a great and free video about this subject.
