I got ride of my 04 R1 and now ride an warrior...It is a great feeling bike. You will never have the power(seat of your pants) feeling like the R1 but it does itself good. I have no problem with my decision...PM me your number if you would like to talk to me about the difs there are...I would be more than happy to call ya about it.

The Warrior is a great bike bro. Its a whole different kind of ride that has to be experianced to be appreciated so don't listen to anyone here who calls you crazy. I seriously doubt anyone who has ever owned a warrior would call you crazy (I mean owned one not ridden on one). I put over 16,000 miles on mine and loved every minute of it. I'm sure when I am all washed up and done with motorcycling it will be remembered as one of the best motorcycles I have ever owned. As impressive as the R1 is you realistically cannot use its juice on anything but a track. If you do a lot of street riding the Warrior is not only more practical but it turns more heads too...

Yea, thats right....I said it. :)

The best part about it is you get to fight the v-twin biker stereo type. I would ride mine around in my Aoki Replica full face Arai helmet with my Teknic jacket on and Sidi Vertabre boots. I loved getting funny looks from the posers on their Harleys with their stupid leather tassles on the handlebars and jackets.

52 here with 4 vert. fused in neck and other multiple aches and pains and I still don't find the R1 that bad. Still do 200 -300 mi. rides without much problems. Of course I do have an FJR for me and GF which is another great bike to consider!

ok

Well here is some more on my endevors, I love the R1 no doubt, and it raelly is not super uncomfy, I can handle it somewhat most part is my wrist. Few other things I have to kick around are that I cannot ride my wife on it, well I dont want to she is to high up and uncomfy back there and its stupid to ride two up on an R1 in my opinion. So I figured a warrior better for two up ridding. I have a 636 also, and I was going to keep it for my wife, and she was in agreement, but she is scared and I dont want to try and teach her to ride it if she is scared before even trying, not a good outcome with that.
OK Best case senerio I can dump the 636 and save a few extra and get a Warrior too.? yeah like that is goign to happen.
I also need to get some more dirt bikes since I sold all the others and the kids are pissed, heh. but bad grades do that . so keep the comments coming great I love them.:beer

Wrist pain? You're gripping too tightly. Let go and let the front suspension do it's job. :D
hes not gripping too tightly hes putting too much pressure on his wrists, dont do that, its bad form. Use your lower back to hold your torso up, not your wrist. You should have zero pressure on your wrists when riding.

its the position of my wrist and its my thumb and that side of my wrist that hurts in the postion its a old injury that is jsut agravated by the postion on the sport bikes, the 636 is way way worse then the R1. and its not jsut the wrist for considering getting the warrior, its the other things I comment about too.
how many people out there have a R1 and a warrior (or other cruiser type) .
