I'm having a little trouble finding the correct screws for synching my throttle bodies.I have looked at the shop manual and it is pretty vague. Are the screws under little gold covers on the throttle bodies that need to be removed?
The shop manual pictures aren't that good, but it deffinately shows a screw in the side of each throttle body. Are you sure about those screws?Viper333 said:These are the screws that youre looking for.
Of the 3 that there are, the ones between 1-2 3_4 adjust those respectively.
The one in the middle adjusts the 2 left to the 2 right bodies.
Hook up your hoses while the engine is cold.
Adjust while the engine is at operating temp.
Give the throttle tiny little blips after each adjustment tweak, so the linkages can normalize.
Dont rev the motor high and then snap the throttle closed because high RPMs and a closed butterfly causes a high vacumn condition.
A high vacumn condition can suck up some of your mercury out of your manometer.
Good Luck
