I`ve been searching for a while now looking to upgrade from 01 R6 to R1. Ive came across a few R1`s but this is the latest one i ran across. Everything is stock. 2008. She`s got 9,149 miles on her. Dealership wants $7,000. Im wondering is this a good price?

$7K can get you a good 09-up Crossplane. In my opinion, head and shoulders over the previous years. Look for one of those. My buddy sold his 06 R1 and picked up a 2012 when he saw mine.

I agree.

While they did a good job painting it, I'd rather have a 09+.

As for price on that one, I'd say no. Try to push then to 5500-6000.

depends where you live. i just paid 8 grand for my 07 in canada. it has half the amount of miles but gives you an idea. also i like the looks of the 07-08 more

Agreed, that's crossplane money. I wouldn't pay more than 5k for that.

I'm in San Diego Ca Btw

Eat, sleep and ride!
Wouldn't pay more than $5k for an 08 with 9k miles??? I'm in SD too and haven't found an 05 in the same condition as this 08 for $5k, ESPECIALLY from a dealer. Unless you just come across that once in a blue moon deal where dude just really needs the bike gone. An 09 for $7k out here in Daygo??? Show me where and I'll buy 2!!! $7k for this 08 in it's condition and mileage is awesome! And from a dealership too?!?! Shoot!

I've been on the hunt out here for the better part of a year for an R1 for about $5k and I just found 1yesterday that had only been up for sale for 30 minutes. I called dude and he already sold it, an 06 with 18k miles for $5k. An 07 out here is going for at least $6k and that's for mileage above 10k and I'm being generous.

Bottom line is it is where you live and demand that's gonna dictate prices. If you like it, can afford it and think it's great deal, pull the trigger. Here in San Diego, demand is ALWAYS high for bikes. There is no "off season", just 2 choices out here; an expensive season and a really expensive season! We ride ALL YEAR LONG!
