Are we being ripped off on our DVX leathers?????

It's been 2 months since I ordered, and nothing. I emailed them multiple times this week, and they don't respond. I haven't heard from them in 3 weeks, and that is when he sent me an email saying they made them with the wrong leather, and were going to throw in free gloves to make up for it. He also said that our leathers were being put on frist priority, so that should make them done and on the way. Yet they won't answer my emails. :rant

Just starting to get a little concerend. If there not close to being completed I'm going to ask for a refund. I was told 3 to 4 weeks when I ordered, not 2+ plus months.

Well at this point, my common sense has taken over.

1) It's obvious that the guy doesn't make the suits himself (which I thought he did) because he mentioned that he has to recieve them from someone.

2) He was offering 100% money back guarantee AND THE UNSATISFIED CUSTOMER GETS TO KEEP THE SUIT.

3) The suits were made using the wrong leather? Now, ALL OF THE SUITS ARE BEING REMADE? I can only imagine how expensive that must be, especially considering how cheap he's selling the suits for.

I could be wrong, but this does not make sense to me, AT ALL!

If my assumptions are incorrect, I apologize in advance. I certainly hope you guys get your suits. As the saying goes, if it's too good to be true, it probably is....

I'm also sorry if I'm off on my assumptions, but this is getting a little overboard. I just sen't them another email.....(if they even read it). The funny thing is, when I was ordering, and asking questions they answered my emails within the hour every time. Now that they have my money, it's like they droped off the face of the earth. If the can't be shipped this week, with a tracking number, I told them I want my money back.

Man I hope I don't have to fly out to cali just for this:mad: :rant :boom

I feel for you guys. Even if they get them to you in a few weeks
it will be May by then. I'd hate to go to the Gap in new leathers
that have not been broken in. Hang in there. Maybe they will be
on the way soon.

What happened to the guy who started all this? The guy who kept posting photoshop pics of the suit DVX was going to make for him that was going to be _just like_ the Dainese Bora?

Well Im in the same boat. He was/is doing a group buy on the TL board, so I jumped in. Its now been two months ago and nothing. The problem is Ive emailed him and PM'ed him and have never got a response. He posted that the leathers were the wrong thickness and had to remake them. He then said that he would have TLplanets done first because of all the drama. After about a week that he posted and said that they were wrong he also said that he would post pics. The pics werent posted so I asked for a refund. Someone else posted with a question right under mine. He then responded to his post and not mine. I guess hes not up for the refund. Im getting pissed at this point. Two months is too long I dont care how much they were. At this point I want my $$ back and Ill put some with it and buy other leathers.

THE TLPlanet and R1 buys were going on at the same time. As previoiusly posted to deveral forums that did buys. we made the suits out of 1.2 instead of 1.4 OUr mistake. No I do not personally make the leathers I own a facility and my workers do. For as where I have been the last week or so. I have been in New york filing a civil suit against US customs. for a hold up on suits which is another matter. The R1 forums suits and tlp's suits were put on # priority. which ment starting the process all over again. After the suits were made, THose patterns are pulled and the new tooling set up for the next job. after that job was finished I put the rest on hold untill the forums suits are done.

Doing all the suits over again is costing me. Im out of pocket about 24 grand from all the suits that were messed up along with labor costs. 12 k came out of my own pocket. the project manager was fired and a new one brought in. We had the new leather shipped in and all the colors dyed patterns are currently being cut. Yes this year started off being our best year and has turned out to be our worst. Our reputation has been ruined. what this does for future buisness I dont know. but thats not a concern I am more concerned about current business. I am not ignoring anyone nor am i not trying to not answer e-mails. If i had more money to hire more employees I would. but because i had to push other orders back to get these suits done. I had hardly nothing to sell at the California speedway event. I lost 3 major orders two from major catalog companies. And my faithfull partner cashed out on me. Your suits will be delivered I am just asking for more time. I will be having them air freighted over to avoid NEw york customs. which is additional costs but they will get here with no delay from customs.

If you want refunds that is fine but It will take time to come up with the funds. I have current orders in stock and in customs that have to be paid for. I have recieved two requests for refunds those two will be handled first. I dont know what else to say besides spilling out private company business. I am flying out there this week. If this hole thing puts me out of buisness in the end then so be it. but all orders will be filled. If there is a way that you know i could make this up to you let me know.

again I do apologies for the delay and will have this cleared up as soon as possible. I am actually going out there to over see the project and to help out. I do know how to work some equipment.

any questions forward them to annie@dvxracing.com she will be able to anwer any questions for you while i am gone.

As for the guy who started the whole thing with the photoshop pics. He is the one who got ahold of me and told me to explain to all of you on this thread. I apologies for assuming that the few people that i have told this to would post somthing up.

I sure as hell cant hold my head up high. But i am a man of my word. and it would of been wrong to deliver suits to you on time that were not made of the right material. Because then I am putting your saftey at risk.

I am that guy and I am still here. I am waiting for my suit just like everyone else. As you have just read, Warren is busy taking care of some business, so give the guy a break. I don't know him personally, but you did buy your leathers through Dyno Dudes and not through Warren directly, so you know he is not running away with your $. I was told the same thing you guys were, 4-6 weeks. But Warren had some problems and aked me to wait. I kindly agreed and have been giving updates as I get them. Now that you guys got the full scoop, give the guy a break. It sounds like he really needs it. Thanks for the post Warren. I hope everything goes well for you and your business. Let us know when you get back to the states. elk.

Hey R1Elkins,

I understand what you are saying, however, you have to understand the guys who are on hold as well.
Though the DVX suits are cheaper than most suits on the market, $600 bucks is $600 bucks. Not only are these guys missing riding time/trackdays without their suits, they aren't gaining any interest on their money....which is on hold. Now that I think of it, I only had to put down 50% to have my custom jacket made. So, who really needs the "break"?

Paying customers should NOT have to bear the burden of a companies bad/unstable business strategy.

completely unacceptable! :no

Good luck to all those who are involved.....

Just my $.02

This is shell game. Don't settle for excuses. Settle for a full refund.

I can't believe these guys have the nerve to come onto this forum and start another round of lies. They're just saying this in order to keep the TL thing alive long enough to skin those guys, too.

This is just my opinion, but there you have it. I would be mad to the point of violence if I had my money in this. This could have happened to me. I was about to get in on this "group buy." So, I am outraged for my colleagues here. God damn, this bothers me.

Hmm? I've heard of this product. I know of another Southern California forum whose members ordered a dozen or so suits in DECEMBER and, to date, only two orders have been filled to satisfaction.

I'm not trying to stir up any thing, just mentioning something related to this post.

and another thing: this guy ought to take his "man of my word" baloney and stuff it. Any real man would make good in cold hard cash, not words.

Sorry for blowing off like this.

Actually they are gaining a set of 129.00 gloves which is about a 10% interest on thier investment. as for your 50% deposite. how much was your jacket?

"Paying customers should NOT have to bear the burden of a companies bad/unstable business strategy."

You think loosing 24,000.00 and pissing off a lot of riders was strategic planing?:2bitchsla

"completely unacceptable! :no"
well if i offered the refund before deciding to correct the mistake it would not have been a problem. or if i didnot refuse additional orders to get the current ones done first then the cash flow would be there. my first instinct was to get the orders filled as fast as possible. not oh well things did not work out. It was a new facility with new workers on a fresh order of supplies. mistakes happen and i am paying for it.

and the suits were ordered through me dyno -dudes just processed a few cc orderes that were forwarded through my cc acount untill our machine was replaced.

I am sorry i dont live in the perfect world r1 fanatic lives in. or i dont meet his standards. but life has its bumps im just trying to work through it and make everythign right!

WOW!

hey buddy think what you will. But if you feel the need to vent feel free to give me a call or if you live in socal feel free to come on down. I didnt come into this forum trying to push my product i was asked for a group buy and asked to post. just as i was aked to reply to this thread the tl group buy went on at the same time which was ordered at the same time which have the same problems. dont you think it would be a scam if they purchased at the same time and they got thiers but not you guys?

as for the dozen suit order it was actually 21 suits ordered in late december 13 delivered 1 wrong size 2 have not been picked up 5 held up in ny customs. which is the reason for the civil suit mentioned.

This is exactly why i did not want to share my company business with everyone and just wanted to say there was a delay in the order. but this is what honesty gets you, i get drilled on by some e-thug.

thanks! mark618:butt

I say give the guy a break. at least he has the decency to come defend hiself. if he was like a lot of you have implied, he would not have responded. Shit happens to good poeple. unfortunately its the guys who got in on the group buys day. Sorry to say it, but at least give him the opportunity to try and make it right.

Sir,

I will leave it to my colleagues here, who have invested in your offer, to serve you with what you deserve. However, it is worth pointing out that, all of a sudden, you have a lot of ready-to-hand excuses. Furthermore, there is no excuse for not responding to a customer's inquiry. Lastly, as to your comment that "mistakes happen and I am paying for it," I believe that, in this case, you made the mistakes but you are paying for it with other peoples' money.

Yeah, I'm in SoCal. I'd be happy to meet you with my e-thug in person. I'm just an old man with a big mouth, but I'm not afraid to come down there, if you like.

Quick question,

Have you at least shipped out the free gloves to waiting customers....for the hassle? Just curious.

Also, do you have any REAL pictures of previous suits you've sold. The only pictures I see look photoshop'ed.
