I've got a blue '03. I was going to get the black w/flames, but I decided to stay with my first love of the factory racing blue that i fell in love with over 2 years ago, and haven't been able to get until now.

 

anyone else notice that in the survey blue is red, red is blue and silver is yellow???? kinda funny

actually in a recent Sport Rider test, the Silver one was found to be faster in all respects due to its lower weight and lower Cd of drag. :yesnod :yesnod :yesnod

My R1 is Silver, The color that is representing the R1 in posters and magazines. The other color are for the Lemings out there.

Red is so crapy that Yamaha discontined the color.

Blues only stays around because it is Yamahas racing color, some of you guys got the color because you guys wanted to believe you were real Formula Xtreme Riders and well it does not look to bad.

Mine was born red and white,got all red at one point,but now its more-than-liquid silver and black with rainbow metal flake prisms all over the bodywork.

I know it sounds like a fishing boat,but its really stuning under the sun.

 

Mines blue, track day bodywork is bright orange.

I have limited edition blue :lol but maybe buying that kick ass black/flames 03R1 :finger

 

My fix comes from silver/black - although I will have a blue 6 in several months

Painting this winter so come spring time it will be blue and white.

Red.... for the conservatives (should be on a Honda)
Silver.... too much matt black...looks cheap and plastic
