What kind of gas mileage does your R1 get?

Not that it really matters but I was just curious. I saw a site saying 52mpg or something and had a picture of a new R1. I'm thinking it had to be something in the fine print saying you could get 52mpg with another bike. Either that or the new ones get a ton better. I get about 41-42mpg in mine riding it half interstate half around town. Getting on it a few times but trying not to ride it too hard. It will drop below that if I ride it hard the whole time. Imo that's pretty good. What do you guys get?

I get about 140 out of it by the time the fuel light comes on. I suppose if I ran it till it ran out maybe 170 to the tank.

99 R1. One day I rode like all the dead people in the cars and got 51MPG, 60% highway 40% city. Normally I get mid to upper 40s. 1st day I had it I got 42, have not seen 30s at all.

I think it really depends on how you ride the bike. Ive seen about 48-49 MPGs with constant cruising but ive also seen upper 30's when out riding the twisties and varying the throttle a lot and getting on it. I wouldnt think that 52MPG would be impossible but i wouldnt expect it all the time either unless you are just cruising 70MPH on the Interstate or something. Juts my 2C.

I used to get between 180kms and 220kms depending on how

I was riding.

An amazing benefit of going -1 in the front & +2 in the rear is more gas mileage. I can now get as much as 260kms before the light comes on.*

*Before anyone states the obvious, I have a Speedohealer on my Christmas list. And sarcasm is also very popular in England.

2007 R1, Gaves Ti. system, power com, GYTR air filter, custom map.

As low as 33mpg but as high as 43mpg over about 7800 miles. Most of the time I get about 36-38mpg. Thats a little low compared to my other bikes I have had. My old 929 was the worst at about 30mpg avg. and my Ducati 998 was the best at about 49mpg avg.

My gearing may slightly throwing it off... On the highway I get 160-165 before the light comes on...constantly...on my carbed r6 not as much.... the track bike with U4 not even close to a 100

38-40 corrected for speed error. Blend of Highway and city miles...
