When did tires become mods?

 

I would think any time you get away from stock, and modify a bike in any way at all, its a mod? My opinion?

I don't think tires count as mods either..but oh well.

The best mod for each bike I've ever owned is making something with my own imagination. Something one-of-a-kind that nobody else will have.

I made my own exhaust pipes. Now I'm almost done with a new undertail that will be flush without the round divots where the pipes go, and a shorty pipe in place of the catalytic converter/ Y pipe.

Nothing beats DIY mods. :thumbup

 

Ok, so a tire can be a mod just as you would replace something else, say, suspension with a superior item.

Stock suspension is to Ohlins as stock Dunslops are to Pilot Powers.

Make sense now? And that said, Pilot Powers are my favorite mod so far....it's technically a 'modification' from stock and therefore qualifies as a mod.

 

If tires count, then I'd have to say my Supercorsas are hands down the best thing I've ever done for my bike.

If they don't count, then I'd have to say my Scott's damper.

I just hate riding without one.
