Hey all,

I wanted to know what you all think about pricing for a 06 Yamaha r1 LE 346/500 that has about 7k miles on it. A few photos are attached. Bike has not been down and looks solid and has been kept up well. A few mods are pazzo levers, rizoma brake reservoirs, rizoma frame sliders, rizoma bar ends and hand grips, rizoma turn signals, yoshi exhaust, a few other small things. I have some of the stock parts but not all of them.

I was wondering what some of you thought I should price it at? I looked at some websites and figured 8500 would be fair.

Didn't want to put this in the sale forum yet before asking some people who better understand the market for this bike.

I'm kicking around selling her because I don't have the time to ride her as much anymore. Thanks for all your help.

Watching eBay this year – two recent (and both very nice) 2006 LE’s were listed as follows …

S/N 064 with 7830 miles in Guyton, GA was originally listed in June – auction closed with no bids. As memory serves – seller reduced price through the auction ending at $8500.

Re-listed on eBay in July – last price was $7250 or best offer – sold for best offer.

As an owner - was painful to watch. 2006 Anniversary Editions (non-LE versions) were fetching the high $6k range at the same time on eBay.

S/N 432 with 6967 miles in Lynwood, CA went on eBay late July for $8500 or best offer. Auction closed with no sale – 22 bids – best was $7700.

Was going to list my S/N 158 with 2700 miles (with many extras and brand new Corsa’s) – looks like there just isn’t an interest.

Too old and slow (not the bike tho’).

I think I saw the same auctions.

I'm wondering if the crowd just didn't realize what the LE actually is?

I saw a non-LE 50th sell for around $7200 at the same time a true LE was barely fetching $7000... Sad

I have a lot into mine, and if I decide to part ways with it, I'll more than likely be putting it back to stock I guess.

Such a shame as they really are beautiful bikes!

HAHA! Actually, I just moved to Michigan, so valid question after all, Loose!! That being said, I have a feeling a majority of her miles will have been spent in the NY/NJ/CT area.

Yeah, it appears the market for these is not as good as I figured it would be. I wanted one of these, and paid a pretty penny for her. I forgot exactly how much it was, but I want to say somewhere between 11.5k-13.5k (probably closer to 13.5)? This was about 3 years ago and the bike had like 700 miles on it. Probably still overpaid, but this was my dream bike so I thought it was worth it to get one in such good shape I guess. I bought it to ride it so I should have known it would not have kept its value.

I just got a new Porsche 911 2S so I don't know how much I will ride the bike now, and I have decided if I start riding again, I will consider getting a Ducati Panigale as I've always wanted to try one of those out.

cbxfixer, man that picture of yours is beautiful. I love the bike!!!

Thanks a lot for weighing in guys, especially for someone who mostly lurks like myself. I'm sure it's annoying to see posts like this from people who barely post, so I honestly appreciate it. I might sell it to someone for 7-7.5k if the person comes around and will probably post it on the for sale forum soon.

i think a lot of people lost interests in them as "collectors items" once they have mileage on them. as for a bike to ride, they are almost a 10 year old bike. with 10 year old technology. and so people wont pay top dollar for them

cbx - I agree, looks like I should have assumed that would be the case. In the end, it was my favorite bike made so I am not too upset about it. I'll be happy to get 7k or so and call it a day maybe. I should sell it but we will see. Might throw it up on here and see what happens.

I love the netflix comment. I'm a huge (recreational) stock guy and love playing the market...and I about went nuts when you said that when I thought about it. Big plays.

HAHA majin, I am still kicking it around. I am going to clean her up and post her probably soon here.

As a for a trade, I would only sell the bike as I am looking to take a break from the scene for the time being. If I come back, I really want a Panigale but we will see. Love the helmets guys, had to post one of my own!!
