Some cager blacked-out in oncoming traffic and my bike and I were recipients of a toss almost 200 ft. from where the accident occurred. Its an 07 R1 w/ 3500K. what would an engine like this be worth? The front rim was sheared in half, front shocks snapped and gas tank was about 40ft. from the bike. I lived.:rock

That is me post-accident in the avatar. I was lucky it was feb. and i had on my heavy armored leather. tiny road rash on stomach. My wrists ,hands/fingers, and legs didnt fare as well. Broke both wrists and hands almost beyond repair, as well as thumbs, indexes, and middle fingers. Snapped my pelvis in half, broke both femurs in 5 spots, left tibula and fibula severe compound fracture and both ankles broke.phew. Also had severe rash to the bone on right knee. Had 11 surguries in my 3 month stay at Hack med, another month home until the last surgury to take out the final ex. fixator the right to rehab for 6 months of PT and OT. Since Aug I go to therapy 4 hrs 5 days/wk. I drive, can walk pretty well , maybe a little limp, have full function of both hands and hope to be abck w/ my plumbing co. in 6 months. Heres a pic of the tib/fib right after the accident. I keepin to the track after this one.

Geeesh. I can't even say all those breaks in one breath. :lol

The fact that you're even thinking about riding again is a testiment to your character. :thumbup

Good luck with it all!
