Currently i only have the slip on ti akra cans without the 'y' pipe. Honestly i thought it would have a bit of a deeper sound than it does. IMO it doesn't sound much different than stock. Does the 'y' pipe do much if anything for the sound?? I havn't looked into it much, but does it remove the cat??? Thanks in advance. :thumbup

Actually I'm not a squid at all man. No offense taken by the way. I bought the akra's becuase of the performance they offer. I didn't have the $$ to go with the full system or even the y pipe. But i did want them to be just a little louder. Hence, the thread........

It basicaly removes the cataltic convertor.
It may get a little louder. If you are low on cash, you can just gut the cat out of your current y-pipe. there is a thread on it. search for: gut* cat*

does anyone get a lil surging after going with the "y"pipe? when it is at idle?
i put on a leo vince slip-on with the Y pipe and it surges a bit not like the stock cans but it made me wonder if something is screwy or is it a normal thing since the cat is gone???

Any ideas for pc3 maps? I am running the following: Graves velocity stacks, BMC Race air filter, gutted cat, Laser Extreme slip ons w/ race insert. Thanks in advance for anyone that could PM me a good map for my set-up...I will have a custom one done when I can justify $250, but for now, just looking for something close to get it richer in the rights spots.
