I know that we like to think that R1's are realitivly flawless, but what breaks down the most on you guys?

ME!

 

16,800 miles on my '03 in 10 months, 6,000 miles on my '04 in 3 months.

Not one problem with either one.

Except, of course, for too many wheelies!!:thumbup

 

The largest problem I have with my 03, is which mod to do next.:rock

transmission problems on my 99. 0 problems on the 02 and the two 03's i ride with. hell stainless's 03 with 25,000 miles has not had one problem.

My biggest problem has been traveling too much and not getting to ride her!

I had the sticky down shift in the beginning, but it cleared up around 1000 miles.

 

wanting to skip work,family stuff and dodge the GF to rip around instead

 

The head bearing design sucks!!!

Not sure if you are being sarcastic? But shake shake rattle rattle.....does that not ring a bell lol. Without a damper my front end felt like it was going to fall off compared to every other bike I've been on. I was going to actually take it apart and see if I can change out that crush washer to something else...but doesn't seem like many people have had success with it. Back to tightening it every month!

How about broken F-ing pegs at 110 mph.

I mean i love my R1, bwtf...
