stock gearing? i've got an 05 but i redline at alot faster than 60 in first:yesnod

 

your power doesnt effect your "redline" ... at which speed you redline depends on gearing...

I just assumed stock gearing.

 

my 07 stock didnt redline till 97mph in 1st

 

somthing is screwy if your bike is redlining in first at 60 major gearing changes

 

my 07 i had up to 102 at redline in 1st gear. completely stock

 

holy chit, you're top speed should be around 600 mph:lol

i'm still in the break in phase, about 9g's has been the limit so far. :tocoo:

 

Any idea what the top speed in first gear is for a 2000 R1?

 

My old 98 R1 indicated 132km/h off the limiter in 1st.

My new ZX10R indicates 166km/h off the limiter in 1st (not stock).

 

i top out right around 90-95 in first (+2 in the back)

 

My 05 R1 with stock gearing does 103mph in 1st.

 

my 2000 with 1 tooth down in front does 78 in first

 

are the speed numbers you guys are posting with the speedometer error corrected? (on the re-geared bikes)

no thats what the speedo says so i'de imagine mine is more like 85-90? I don't know its fast either way

 

102 mph in 1st gear

 

2004 r1 104mph indicated. Its a laugh. cruising on the motorway at 85, stamp it down 5 gears and wail up to 104mph.

Other than that, motorways are boring.

When the 2004 came out this was in all the uk magazines.
