Personally...with a little bias, I like either the black or the red and black. I'm probably gonna get crucified on here for saying this, and I KNOW Blue is Yamaha's signature color, however I don't think blue is a good color for the R1's. I dont know what it is about the color, but to me the R1 is a bike that is MEANT to be in a darker color..Black, Dark Red, black with any other color usually looks good. I just got done accenting mine about a week ago with Atomic Orange Metallic and it turned out pretty well considering I haven't sprayed automotive paint in about 5 years or so. Check it out, tell me what you think.

No red? Yamaha was red at one point. And yellow as well. Still, with the choices I'll go with the all black with gold lettering. You're unique and can add a little gold here in there for more accents.

 

personally i like the blue, but you can't go wrong with the black either. IMO those are the only two options.

I've never been a great fan of the 03, but the colour scheme on this one is the best amongst the posted photos. In general, I would rather prefer a silverish something

 

Blue on a bike just isn't the color for me.....
