The +3 is going to accelerate faster but at the same RPM the +3 is actually going to be traveling at a slower speed

So, to match speeds the +3 might be traveling at say 5500 RPM in 4th while the stock gearing is traveling at 4800 RPM (just a comparision, not sure on exacts)

 

Depends on whether or not Pro Racer Mode is enabled.

 

stock sprocket may be faster but +3 sprocket should be quicker. Question is, do you know the difference?

And Pro Racer Mode is a must.

 

The bike with the lower gearing will accelerate quicker.

he must be joking, its his name...but to answer his question, they both are just "as fast" as each other, in fact in any gear the stock would probably be "faster" as the +3 would hit the rev limiter quicker:fact , anyhow the +3, would probably be a "hair" "quicker" as wheatman stated previously

Ok, how about a -1 front sprocket or stock sprocket

 

same result as +3 on the rear sprocket.
