Not saying they are the best but can't go wrong w/ genuine GYTR sliders.

my spike frame sliders

jump on ebay. and look for the spiked frame sliders. mine are metal. hot in the heat. but very nice. i dont know the exact name of the company but just look for the ones i show in the picture. there are my old ones and then the ones that are spiked that are mounted. the old ones were plastic. my new ones are aluminum. and great priced

I would really hate to see what your leg would look like if for some reason your leg got under that while going down.

Are T-Rex any good?

When I bought my bike they came with them but one was cracked from where it looked like someone had overtightened it not sure, but then the bike fell over when I was eating lunch and had parked it in the grass and it fell on that side and the slider broke off, so IDK if the slider is shitty or not.

Well from what I have seen (and wish I had them) the Motovation ones are probably the best as they use a 3 place mounting system. Where is the majority of all of the others involve using the motor mounts. So you then run the risk of not only screwing up the motor (damaging the threads) you can also damage the frame itself (break the loop that holds the bolt in place).

I did tons and tons of research on this a couple weeks back, and settled for Graves. Best value and from the reviews I read, they are right next to motovation. IMHO, motovation is just overpriced, they are good, but I dont think the 200+ price is worth it when you can others (Graves, Intuition, T-Rex, Shogun) for around a 100.

i know i can have one around town. i have been cut off in a parkinglot by a mustang and had to put the bike down befor i turned it to a custom show bike which is why its been painted and has new sliders and what not. i also have bar sliders as well. and i wear my helmet and jacket so im not to worried. if i worried about wrecking 90% of the ride. id only have fun 10% of the time.

I like longer sliders.
I think a slider SHOULD help protect your fairings.
I commute a lot, so a low speed tip over is actually more likely than a real wreck.
And once in L.A. traffic I side swiped a Jaguar (doh!) and the slider hit his door before my knee did.
It would have really hurt without sliders!
First time I've ever seen a bike win in a car-bike collision! His door was jacked!
Mine were Intuitive sliders.

what ever you do dont get any frame sliders with the L - bracket type mounting. the only thing they do is break off. get the one that mount straight to the frame. or better yet skip the sliders all together and get some race rails. far better coverage and far more sturdy than any type of slider.
