Why so much hate for Toce?

My boy has Toce pipes which I don't think are all that bad. They're extremely loud especially minus baffles. But I've heard the R1 community aren't major fans of the brand. Is it the look or something? Obviously this for those who don't have an appreciation for the brand.

Personally I like the look but have never heard a set in person. Secondly there is a lot of hate for two brothers as well. Neither are bad IMO. To each his own. I have two brothers on my bike, its what it came with when I bought it amd I just haven't swapped it for anything else yet. Also most will say both exhaust add little to no power. There seem to be a lot of track whores on the forum. :D

Negative. TOCE sucks for multiple, more technical reasons:

1. The obvious, looks. As mentioned, slash cut exhaust's on a sportbike just don't mix.

2. They are HEAVYYY. Those pipes weigh a ton.

3. They barely do anything for performance. Seems like a waste.

4. They are wayyy too loud. Just sound and look like 4 VooDoo exhaust's strapped to the back. Just horrible...

I hate them cause they're ugly as hell... (in my opinion).

They remind me of the chrome slash cut tips a ******* would put on a v6 firebird with flames painted on it... or a ford ranger take your pick.
I just don't think it's a look that fits on a high tech, high performance sports bike.

And as for 2bros. I never had a problem with my set. But there seem to be a large amount of unhappy customers who've had welds break, pipes burn through, carbon fiber fray etc. etc. in what would seem way too short of a time period. So if I am to spend 700-900 on a new set of slip ons they'll be ones with a good reputation. The only reason I ended up with a set to begin with is because they were a used set for dirt cheap and I wanted something to put on.

I ended up buying the toce exhaust with the Leo Vince y pipe. I love the exhaust and it sounds amazing. A lot of people on the forum hate it because they're into performance and racing. Not really sure what the toce adds to the bike as for as HP but I like the toce.

At first I was a little hesitant to buy the pipes but a few days later I decided to bite the bullet and go for it. I still have the baffles in there and they sound great!!

Everyone has their own opinions on it....I like it!! If you have the money buy the akrapovic exhaust.

"Slash cut" pipes belong on cruisers and muscle cars IMO, NOT R1's. They do not fit the "look" of a sportbike at all, in any way. Even if TOCE made the most power, most here wouldn't even consider them, because they just don't look right on an R1.:fact

If you like the exhaust who gives a fvck what others think, if you are here to get reassurance you didn't waste money on a shitty exhaust it isn't going to happen. If you want feedback, well you're getting that as we speak :fact

OMG those are so FUGLY I hate them. I cant believe people still buy them. You would think they would stop making them because of not enough sales but there are some people who just like to kill the look and performance of their bikes and still buy these.

Like I always say "Ugly or Not there is always a buyer for everything"

Why was I not surprised when some dude with a mullet AND a mohawk helmet wearing a you guessed it, an icon jacket came strutting up to the bike. Turned that bike on BEFORE he had his gloves and helmets on letting the 3 surrounding blocks know he was being an ASS. :lol

I was like :crash

Listen to what people are telling you.. They are butt ugly.. They a heavy.. An little if any performance and loud!... I would not even concider this exhaust if it was for free.. Pay money for it? And get seen with that exhaust on my bike? I might aswell dress like prince on a daily basis..

Buy something that works with the bike not against it...

Sorry... But then again.. Not everyone is the same.. If this work for you then buy it.. If you think that this is the most AWESOME exhaust for the R1... Then for the love of god buy it... I get some bashing for my helmet.. But i think i looks cool and it prevents from going 120+ mph because well lets face it.. The worst helmet ever made if you are driving fast..

That's the issue here, you don't give a shit if you look like a d-bag while riding, he does. Quite honestly though you're wearing a helmet, so good for you. You could paint a big ass dick on it pointing to your mouth and aside from a few choice forum members trying to run you down and molest you, you are good. At least you are wearing a lid :fact

Really? I would have to argue that Josh Hayes and his R1 think a bit differently with the how many championships? These bikes are race bikes and are built specifically for that, get on an FZ1 if you want a bike that is more of a street bike. Even the FZ1 folks won't put a shitty, half ass exhaust on their bike though :lol
