hi i ride a 2004 R1 the fasteat it will reach is only 167 mph surely
it should go faster than that!, the bike is the first with underseat
exhausts also what engine oil is best th:saw:th:dundun::dundun::dundun::confused::confused:anks

oh hell another oil thread. Can we make a new rule. If you post a question about oil and its your first post...can that be an automatic BAN

If the motor is pulling hard and strong to the redline, I would check the gearing.
You may not have standard gearing.

If however your bike isn't ripping your arms off over 7000rpm you have an issue with either the motor, the Exup valve or the state of tune.

Technically, seeing as how you didn't go any faster than 167...your bike did get to top speed, it just happened to be 167.
