Any of you still around? I'll probably be up in Milwaukee (Hartland to be exact) by the end of June for the summer, maybe longer. I've got family up near Green Bay so I'll be riding all over the eastern side of the state. Any good places to check out? I haven't been back home in a looooong time.

Anubis,

Unsure why the rest of the cheddar heads haven't replied. I know I have seen them zipping around the area but I think they are all afraid of "catching" some weird disease by simply posting back to a Marine. (My CSM always warned me about you wanton Marines and the "bugs" you caught in foreign lands but I, for one, would always fight next to a Marine).

I am here and if you want a noob to ride with, I will make the time.

Wildcat Mountain is the place to be. I live about 20 miles from it, but there are some other great roads in the area as well. If any of you get together for a ride, let me know. I'm always down. If you do it on a Sunday, there's a bar in a small town called Rockton that has a great Chicken Q, and if you come into Ontario from Wildcat 131 is a great stretch about 5-10 miles to this place. Good place to stop for lunch, and the roads are all great in this area.

I haven't found a lot of good roads leading out of Green Bay or Appleton. Still searching out country roads in my local area. Never been down past Richland Center with a bike, but I've been through there a few times and there are some nice roads down there. I would also warn of stuff dropping off tractors.

OK, a rain check then. Specially if it rains then a rain check is most appropriate.

By the way, been house hunting in Waukesha, New Berlin and Muskego, any intel you can throw my way? Have only lived here about 3 years. Would prefer a place out in the woods at a former gravel pit where I can fire off big guns but that ain't gonna happen so ... city / town dweller I'll be as long as I have my R1 and shooting ranges to go to.

I've also been house hunting. I've been looking around the Hartland/Pewaukee area, but that's about as far west as I want to go. I work in Menomonee Falls and I'd like to keep my drive time under a 1/2 hour. Also, anyone doing any riding this weekend? Or perhaps any partying? I've got nothing going on and it's been a while since I took the R Wheezy out for a good ride.

Getting ready to make an offer on a 2 bedroom in N. Waukesha, had a 2.5 garage (extra deep) with this extra add on room to the side. Enough space for working on my R1 and R6 (when I finally find a 600 cc for the track). Freaking garage sold me on the house. Enough room in the driveway for an enclosed bike / sled trailer too. Even had an awful huge black bar with white / black shag attached to it in the basement. LMAO. Wish me luck, offer goes in tomorrow.

Rode to Cudahy today to watch some friends show their Dog. Freaking hot out today but still wore the gear, losing a little water weight isn't a problem for me but it was a little uncomfortable at the stop lights.

Free Sunday after about 10:00 AM if you are available.

Ah yes, the photo in Podunk Wisconsin. It was good, I have to figure out where that nice little road is with the blind twisties so I can return and ride it again.

Pretty soon I need to head west, ride the border along the Old Miss. River.

Thanks, great meeting you and let's do that again soon. :rock

As you guys can see, i don't have too many posts on here but i have been checking the r1-forum since about this past christmas about 5+ times a day, you know how that goes. Anyway, I go to school in Madison and I would love to hit up some rides with you guys. I have friends going to school in Milwaukee and visit there every once and a while, so we should definetly ride sometime

Post here before your next trip over to Brew Town, we'll meet up somewhere although I hear you have better roads near Mad-city. :rock

We should plan a weekend trip over by the Minn border, some of those roads should be good (although probably full of the poh-leese).

Corey, good to hear you no longer have a screw loose. I thought you had toasted the engine or something but you did raise the front wheel a bit on that take off. Looking for after-market rear sets myself but want to do more research.

Seat isn't as great as I thought, it is softer but it still pushes the package towards the tank, might still have to do a bit of the seat mod. It's also still a little slippery but that's probably because it's new.

Do you know how to set up the suspension? After I close on this new house and have a garage I could use the help as I know it's not set up for someone of my size / riding capability.
